Vessels From Youth

Vessels from Youth yearns to communicate how the Coronavirus Pandemic has affected the physical appearances of the outside world through a nostalgic tone. When conceptualizing a common theme throughout the photos, I thought it’d be interesting to see how the places I frequented when I was young, once full of life and seen through a child-like lens, slightly “deteriorated” through the last six months of 2020. Using a high contrast black and white film, I hoped to capture the current ominosity and gloom of locations that once held so much warmth for a child-me in an effort to connect my youth, my impending adulthood, and the current pandemic.
